I just realized about this hadith, this mouth really needs to be taken care of…
From Abu Darda ‘ radhiyallahu’ anhu , the Prophet sallallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam said,
Nothing is put in the balance heavier than good manners, and the one who has good manners will reach righteousness.
“ There is no practice that if placed in the scales is heavier than noble morals. Indeed, people with noble morals can reach the degree of people who are diligent in fasting and diligent in prayer . “(Narrated by Tirmidhi no. 2134. Shaykh Al-Abani said that this hadith is saheeh . See Sahih Al Jaami ‘ no. 5726.)
In the narration of Tirmidhi — the hadith is declared hasan sahih — there is also a hadith from Abu Darda ‘radhiyallahu’ anhu, the Prophet sallallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam said,
Nothing will be heavier in the balance of the believer on the Day of Resurrection than good manners, and God hates obscene and immoral people.
“There is nothing heavier in the scales of a believer on the Day of Judgment other than his good morals. God hates people whose words are rude and dirty. ”
Benefits of hadith:
1- Examples of husnul khuluq or good morals as said by ‘Abdullah bin Al-Mubarak are:
- sweet smile
- do good (virtue)
- remove distractions
2- What is meant by the hadith above is the weight of the reward in mizan (scales).
3- Allah loves and is pleased with people who have noble character.
4- Al-fahisy which is meant in the hadith is the person who utters words that are not pleasant to hear or words that are not appropriate. Al-badzi is a person who says dirty. So, the person who can keep his word is the person who will weigh the scales.
5- Mizan (scales) of the practice exists and must be believed.
