At-Tin         التين         The Fig

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ

وَالتِّينِ وَالزَّيْتُونِ

For the sake of FIGS and olives,

وَطُورِ سِينِينَ

and for the sake of Mount Sinai,

وَهَٰذَا الْبَلَدِ الْأَمِينِ

and for the sake of this safe city Makkah (Mecca),

لَقَدْ خَلَقْنَا الْإِنْسَانَ فِي أَحْسَنِ تَقْوِيمٍ

indeed, We have created man in the best form.

ثُمَّ رَدَدْنَاهُ أَسْفَلَ سَافِلِينَ

Then We return him to the lowest place (hell),

إِلَّا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ فَلَهُمْ أَجْرٌ غَيْرُ مَمْنُونٍ

except those who believe and do righteous deeds; then for them an incessant reward.

فَمَا يُكَذِّبُكَ بَعْدُ بِالدِّينِ

So what caused you to deny (the day) the vengeance after (the statements)?

أَلَيْسَ اللَّهُ بِأَحْكَمِ الْحَاكِمِينَ

Have you ever heard of Tin? This seedless fruit is very familiar to Muslims because its name is written in the Koran and is mentioned in the hadith of the Prophet Muhammad Shalallahi’alaihiwasallam.

This Tin Fruit is mentioned in the Quran at At-Tin letter.
” For fig and olive, for mountain thursina,” (at-Tin: 1-2)
This fruit is also mentioned in the hadith narrated by Abu Darda. He related the Prophet’s words that: “If I say that there are fruits that come down from heaven then they are figs. Because, heavenly fruits are seedless. Eat them, because it can stop hemorrhoids and can cure gout” (Narrated by Ibn Qayyim in Zaadul Ma’aad) ”
