The nature of Zuhud is interpreted by not doing anything that is haram and keeping away from everything that plunges into prohibition by refraining from syubhat and not wanting what others have.
It was narrated from Imam As-Syafi’i rahimahullah he said, “If there is someone who has the character to give something to the most understanding person, then it must be given to those who are zuhud”.
Because they know everything that does not benefit their afterlife.
Whereas Qana’ah is the most important characteristic that must be possessed by a Muslim, namely accepting what God has given za Almighty Allah.
From Abdullah bin ‘Amr radhiyallahu‘ anhuma, he said, “The Prophet sallallaahu‘ alaihi wa sallam said,
“It was fortunate that people who converted to Islam, were given enough sustenance, and were given by Allah the attitude of qana’ah (enough feeling) towards His giving” (Narrated by Tirmidhi, and is celebrated by Syaikh Al Albani).
The Prosecutor Adab The Salaf cleric, Syaikh Muhammad Amin Ash-Syinqithi is a person who is zuhud in world affairs.
One day he spoke that he never had large amounts of money. He came from Syinqith country by bringing capital that is rarely owned by others, namely the feeling of qana’ah. “If I want a position, I will be able to achieve it, but I will not prioritize the affairs of my world above my hereafter, I will not make this knowledge to obtain worldly position.”
Hopefully by applying the Prosecutor’s Knowledge, namely the nature of Qana’ah and Zuhud in the life of the world, we get the reply later in the hereafter, namely heaven.
